I don’t know about you, but when I go on a decorating spree in my house, it usually ends up way more cluttered than before. Buying new furnishings at the store is really fun, but when I get home, I realize that I don’t actually have the space for them. So at that point, it’s either time to take them back or find a way to squeeze everything in, which ends up looking not so great. That’s why I love this guy’s genius creation, because it saves space! googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DCBP_ATF’); }); Redditor tl34tf must have had the same issues […]

PresidentDonald Trump came under attack after his vicious barbs againstMorning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski on Thursday, but none was quite so blistering as the tirade launched by CNN political commentator and GOP strategist Ana Navarro, who called the president a lunatic man-baby. I was frankly disgusted by Trumps tweet Thursday about Brzezinski, Navarro told Wolf Blitzer. This dude has got such a fixation with women and blood. What is wrong with him? And then you remember that this dude, this disgusting dude,is the president of the United States. … Hesacting for all of us… and he is embarrassing. He is shameful. […]

Back in February, when Donald Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, I wrote a piece: Why Neil Gorsuch Likely Believes Its Perfectly Fine To Ban Gay Sex. It brought out some Gorsuch defenders, including some of his students (at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where Gorsuch taught) and friends of Gorsuch, who responded to me on Twitter and elsewhere, some angrily, accusing me of portraying Gorsuch, wrongly, as a homophobe. In fact, I did nothing of the kind, even pointing to the fact that Gorsuch had a former clerk to whom hereportedly offered support upon the former clerks […]

Arizona officials are concerned drones are getting in the way of their ability to fight wildfire. As crews were battling a fire just north of Flagstaff Tuesday, officials say a drones presence delayed air crews from putting out the blaze. It was not reported how long teams were delayed because of the drone and ground crews were later sent in. George Jozens, Deputy Public Affairs Officer for the Coconino National Forest said the owner of the drone was not apprehended and the fire was said to have been started due to a campfire left smoldering. The fire was later fully […]

Peek into any of the commercial garages dotting San Francisco’s Mission District and you’ll find a mix of auto body shops and startups working on gleaming black-and-silver gizmos. On an intensely sunny afternoon in April, Shaper’s staff rolled up its garage door to reveal a cluster of workbenches—all made by Shaper’s handheld woodcutting tool, Origin, which goes on sale today. You may not think of yourself as a woodworker, but the founders of Shaper can change that. The tool is built to take the mystery—and most of the skill—out of cutting even complex shapes from a piece of wood. Grab […]

Working three jobs leaves me with very little free time, so on my days off, I make time to binge-watch all the TV shows I’ve missed out on during the week. While I prefer to relax on my days off, others still manage to put in a full day’s work even though they don’t have to. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DCBP_ATF’); }); For Redditor Picko_11, he spends his days off fiddling with side projects in his workshop. Recently, he was able to build an awesome coffee table for his living room…in just one day. Picko_11 began by measuring and cutting some pieces […]

Grooves have been found on 130,000-year-old Neanderthal teeth that appear to indicate the use of toothpicks, and impacted or rotated teeth got extra attention. The discovery adds to an abundance of recent evidence showing how advanced early humans were far from the grunting half-apes we saw them as not long ago. A cave in Krapina, Croatia, has made important contributions to our understanding of Neanderthals since bones and teeth were discovered there between 1899 and 1905. Recent reexamination of items extracted from the cave by Professor David Frayer of the University of Kansas and Dr Davorka Radovi of the Croatian […]

Everything we do at Bumble is driven by female empowerment. We want to inspire and encourage women to make the first move in all aspects of their lives, Whitney Wolfe, CEO of the dating app Bumble, tells Elite Daily. Feminist dating? Sign me up. (Just kidding, I’m already signed up and have dates tonight and Thursday.) Whitney Wolfe is the perfectexample of how the best revenge is living well. Wolfe, initially a co-founder of Tinder, left the company after suing them for sexual harassment (they settled) and ended up creating Bumble, the more feminist, female-friendly dating app that allows women […]
